Pat Robertson: God says U.S. will accept socialism!

Pat Robertson, founder of the Christian Broadcasting Network, announced at his staff's annual prayer retreat that God told him Americans would embrace socialism in 2009 "in order to relieve their pain" and that the economy would rebound under an Obama administration.

What a sell-out! This guy is a New World Order criminal!!!!

- EPA 'Cow Tax' Could Charge $175 per Dairy Cow to Curb Greenhouse Gases:

“The tax for dairy cows could be $175 per cow, and $87.50 per head of beef cattle. The tax on hogs would upwards of $20 per hog,” the release said. “Any operation with more than 25 dairy cows, 50 beef cattle or 200 hogs would have to obtain permits.”

- China's sovereign wealth fund, in an unusually blunt description of its current focus, said on Monday that cash is king and big investments are just about off the table, according to Chinese media reports.

- Arkansas Scientists Developing Breast Cancer 'Vaccine':

If successful, the vaccine would not replace traditional treatment such as chemotherapy and radiation but could be an additional treatment for patients, said Laura Hutchins, the principal investigator, professor of internal medicine, and director of the division of hematology and oncology.

- Four Stockton, CA Police Trainees Laid Off:

The Stockton Police Department has laid off four officers-in-training due to continuing budget issues. It's the first time the department has ever laid off anyone in recent memory, according to officials.

With Stockton's murder rate nearly double the national average, police have a lot of work to do, and admit the cutbacks could affect how fast they respond to emergencies.

"We're at 416 sworn officers," said Pete Smith from the Stockton Police Department. "We were at 441 officers early this year."

Why does a shithole like Stockton need 400+ cops???? Another example of government waste!!!!

- Chinese Poison Drywall Creates Sulfuric Acid Inside Homes:

You know what would make for some good drywall? The waste materials from scrubbers on coal-fired power plants. That's apparently what some Chinese manufacturers thought during the housing boom. When they leak and combine with the moisture on AC coils, the result is sulfuric acid, according to complaints by some Floridian homeowners. The acid dissolves the coils on the AC units and in some cases the units fail. Imagine what it does to your lungs.

- California Gas Prices Are Going Up:

West Coast gasoline prices are on the verge of shooting up like a rocket and will be going above $2 per gallon by January 9, 2009. The WTI crude oil price will be gyrating up and down but stay around $50 per barrel.

- More than 200 Orange County social service workers are to get pink slips tomorrow, and the union representing many of them said the action will result in "a real tragedy" for the county's most disadvantaged residents.

- San Francisco considers plan to charge drivers:

Following the lead of cities such as London and Singapore, officials in San Francisco are considering a plan to ease traffic by charging drivers a fee upon entering notoriously clogged sections of the city.

In 2003, London began charging drivers to enter the central part of the city; Singapore and Stockholm, Sweden, also have such fees. Last year, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg advocated a proposal to charge drivers $8 upon entering a heavily trafficked part of Manhattan, but the plan died in the state Assembly.
